BMW has unveiled this rolling testbed for its electric car strategy - the new Concept ActiveE - at the 2010 Detroit motor show. It's a fully electric BMW and a hint of what's to come through the long-range visionary Project i plan which will reshape BMWs for the 21st century.No prizes for guessing it's based on an existing BMW production car, the 1-series Coupé. Toyota exec to answer questions on Digg

Toyota’s recall crisis has left consumers uncertain, and to try to address that, a top executive will answer questions on the social-media Web site Digg today at 5 p.m. Eastern. Jim Lentz, president and COO of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., will do a “Digg Dialogg” based on questions submitted by users.

Heathrow congestion charge pondered

DRIVERS travelling to Heathrow could face a congestion charge should the west London airport be chosen for expansion. Bosses at Heathrow will tell the Whitehall-appointed Airports Commission there could be a case for introducing a charge once improvements in public transport in the area are delivered. Such a charge would not apply to surrounding roads such as the M25, the M4 and the A4, but would affect vehicles travelling to the airport.
