The 3M Wheel Restoration System is the solution car guys and detailing enthusiasts have been searching for. Until now, curb rash, scratches, road rash and oxidation on your wheels meant spending hour after hour searching online for how-to articles and trying to figure out what to buy. Overwhelming! Take the simple approach to restoring your wheels’ finish with the 3M Wheel Restoration System.

At the core of the 3M Wheel Restoration System lies 3M’s advanced sanding discs. By carefully leveling the surface on and around the damaged area using your household drill and the supplied 3M backing plate attachment, you make the damage less noticeable or, in some cases, remove it completely. After you level the surface, you simply remove your sanding marks with the included 3M Compound and before you know it the damaged area will look new again!

Like other DIY kits from 3M, the Wheel Restoration System is incredibly easy to use. Included with each kit are clear, concise instructions that walk you through each step, insuring complete success for users of all skill levels.

For severe defects and imperfections on your wheel, you can use Bondo Single Use Body Filler (sold separately) in conjunction with the 3M Wheel Restoration System.

Designed for non-clear coated, polished aluminum wheels. If you plan on using this kit on factory painted/clear coated wheels, you will need to use touch-up paint or re-clear the area after removing the defect.

Kit includes:
1 - Disc Pad Holder (PN 923)
1 - 3MTM Soft Interface Pad (PN 05771)
8 - 3MTM Gold Sanding Discs (PN 00913)

Lamborghini Aventador

Tue, 15 Mar 2011

A clear evolution of both the Murcielago and the Reventon, the Aventador dissapointed and wowed in equal measure at its unveiling. Showcasing Lamborghini's newfound love for carbon fiber as well as an exhaustive list of new technologies for their road cars – such as a pushrod suspension – the Aventador certainly has a supercar-style spec sheet. The V12 engine used in the Aventador is also all-new and when combined with the lightweight carbon monocoque chassis is claimed to provide blistering performance, albeit in an unrevolutionary body.  More images of the Aventador, as well as the opinion of Chris Bangle, can be found through the links: Photo Gallery: Lamborghini Aventador Video: Chris Bangle on Supercars
