Open to any registered school, the competition encourages students to submit their work in any of nine different categories, with the emphasis on interior design. These categories are: Best Conceptual Interior Best Use of Technology Best Innovation Best Safety Innovation Best Lifestyle Interior Best Eco Design Concept Best Conceptual Exterior Best Production Interior Best Personalisation The prize for the 'Best Conceptual Interior' went to Iman Maghsoudi of Azad University, Iran.

The final eight contenders are: Ford B-max Hyundai i30 Mercedes A-class Peugeot 208 Renault Clio Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 Volkswagen Golf Volvo V40 This year, there are eight finalists instead of the usual seven, thanks to a dead heat between two contenders. Doomed Saturns, Hummers make assembly-line curtain calls
Tue, 16 Mar 2010Two doomed General Motors brands--Saturn and Hummer--are getting their last hurrahs on the assembly line. GM assembled 1,037 Saturn Outlooks last month after not making any Saturns since October. “We are building out a few Saturns to utilize existing material,” GM spokeswoman Kim Carpenter said.
