Rugged whips has designed it's latest F.O. (fiberoptic) LED lighted whip to withstand the abuses of industry and off road enthusiasts.  Rugged Whips are visible for up to 2 miles.  And we've kept the design simple so that they can be easily connected / disconnected from your vehicle without tools.

Our poles get their strength from polycarbonate... the TITANIUM of plastics.  There are no LED's inside the tube, no solder joints, and no PCB's to fail or come apart from hard strikes and impacts.

Rugged Whips use a high quality 2 contact marine grade connection to receive power and can be easily connected / disconnected.  Rugged Whips will operate on 12/24vdc with a current draw of less than 500ma.


How does the whip attach to your vehicle?  Answer; You attach the 1/2"-20 threaded fitting to your vehicle with the provided nuts and washers.  Then when you want to install/uninstall the whip, you just thread the whip in to position, or remove it by hand.  You don't need any tools, and it takes seconds.

How does the whip get it's power? Answer: The whip uses a 2 contact marine grade connector to get it's power.  The vehicle side is permanently attached to the vehicle upon initial installation, it's a simple positive and negative connection.  Then each time you install or uninstall the whip, you just connect or disconnect the connector.
