This headlight relay harness is used for brightening the headlights on a classic or muscle car.  Almost any car that has sealed-beam headlights can benefit from this Plug and Play relay harness.  By pulling power straight from the battery, your halogen upgrades will be able to shine their brightest without damaging your existing wiring and switches.  The harness has an in-line 40-amp fuse with dual 80-amp relays capable of handling up to 100-watt bulbs for a total of 400-watts.  The plugs that attach to the headlight are ceramic and will not melt like some of the stock plugs.  This harness will work with any 4 headlight system with standard H4 plugs like 4651, 4652, 4656, 4000, 5001, and 5006.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Remove battery cable.
  2. Unbundle the wiring harness and straighten out wires.
  3. Attach the relay to inner-fender or radiator support close to the battery.
  4. Detach the stock headlight plug on the battery side and attach it to the male plug on relay harness.  This should be the headlight with high and low capability (three spade plug) normally on the outside.
  5. Attach the ceramic plug (three wires) with the shortest wiring to the headlight that you just detached the plug from and attach ground wire.
  6. Detach the stock headlight plug from the high only bulb and isolate or wrap with electical tape because it will not be used.
  7. Then attach the other plug (two wires) to the high-only bulb and attach the ground wire.
  8. Stretch the long wire across the radiator to the headlight pair on the other side.
  9. Detach the stock headlight plug from the high-low headlight and isolate or wrap with electrical tape because it will not be used.
  10. Attach the ceramic plug (three wires) into this headlight and attach ground wire.
  11. Detach the stock headlight plug from the remaining high-only headlight and isolate or wrap with electrical tape because it will not be used.
  12. Then attach the other plug (two wires) into this headlight and attach ground wire.
  13. Secure the harness using included cable ties.
  14. Attach Red wire on harness to positive battery cable.
  15. Attach battery cable.
  16. Test headlight functionality.

Super-rare Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Shooting Break up for auction

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

The growing trend for shooting break estates is nothing new. Sleek estate versions of high-end, luxury limousines have been produced at the behest of their ultra-wealthy owners for years – just like this bespoke Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Shooting Break. And this example could be yours for a snip – it’s going up for auction with Bonhams at the Beaulieu Sale on 7 September 2013 with an estimated price of £12,000 to £16,000.

Fiat 500L five-door spotted

Wed, 16 May 2012

Autoweek spotted this manufacturer-plated Fiat 500L earlier this week on the streets of suburban Detroit. With its round headlights and cheerful grille, the five-door hatchback's resemblance to its three-door cousin is apparent even under its coat of liberally applied camouflage. While the 500L and the smaller 500 models share similar styling cues, the subcompact hatch is not just a slightly stretched 500 with two extra doors.

Mercedes C63 AMG 'Edition 507' (2013) first official pictures

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Mercedes has squeezed another 50bhp out of the C63 AMG, creating the 500bhp 'Edition 507' range. The power bump comes courtesy of forged pistons new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft inherited from the £160,000 SLS AMG supercar. Why is this special C63 AMG called the 'Edition 507'?
