Four new sets of Federal Mogul Connecting Rod Bearings that I got at an auction of vintage cars parts.

There is a 1055SB Set (Standard Size), a 1055SB-1 Set (.001" Undersize), a 1055SB-10 Set (.010" Undersize), and a 1055SB-20 Set (.020" Undersize).  Also included are four extra pairs of 1055SB bearings that do not form a set.

According to my Federal-Mogul catalog, these are for:
  • FORD TRUCKS (1940-45: GP, 1NC, 1ND, 1NY, 2NC, 2ND, and 2NY)
  • FORD TRACTORS  (1939-52: 2N, 2NAN, 8N, 8NAN, 8NNN, 9N, 9NAN) 
There is some rust from years of storage.

Lexus IS Design contest-winning SEMA show car announced

The winner of the Lexus IS Design contest has been chosen, with their design to be built by VIP Auto Salon for the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Lexus and competition partner and online art community deviantART have revealed the first, second and third place winners, with Rob Evans of Seattle, Washington, taking first place. Second place went to Lucia Lee of Pasadena, California, with Guanghao Huang from Southfield, Michigan third.

PUDSEY the Bear is launching the world’s largest car wash to raise money for Children in Need, with a little help from Peter André and Peugeot. Across 272 Peugeot dealerships, the car wash asks for a donation in return for cleaning your car and Peugeot reckons it should raise £250,000 between 6 and 10 November. Peter André will help launch the world’s largest car wash event on 6 November in Chiswick, London.
