Condition:For parts or not working

This listing is for a heater that came out of a 1940 Ford pickup cab.   Description to follow but first please note I can't always ship things out right away, sometimes it can take a week before I can send a package so if that's an issue please contact me first.   Have not seen this style heater before, it looked like a clean factory installation but it could be aftermarket I guess, no guarantee.   What you see is what you get, I would consider this to be for parts, the die cast case is pretty decent but the inner fan cage is rotten and the heater core looks rough as well.   Some other '40 cab pieces for sale this week so see my other auctions.

Everything is as shown, as-is.  Please be patient with the shipping of these items.  I can't always ship out parts immediately after the auction ends.  Sometimes it can take a week or two for shipping.  If this is a problem and you need something right away, be sure to let me know right away and I'll do what I can.

Shipping for this item will be $30 anywhere in the continental US, international bidders email me for a quote.  You are welcome to pick this up at my shop near Brillion, Wisconsin if you're in the area.    Feel free to email me with any questions.   Be sure to see my other auctions for more parts, and thanks for looking.

Five reasons to celebrate the end of the paper UK driving licence

Tue, 12 Aug 2014

From January 2015 Britain’s much-derided paper counterpart driving licence is being phased out. This is A Good Thing, ending an annoying bi-partite arrangement that’s blighted drivers’ pockets for 16 years. Driving licences have been with us since 1903, when they were first mandated – but the current, annoyingly two-part licences have been in use since 1998, with a bank card-sized photocard accompanied by a printed sheet of A4.

Opel Ampera preview

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

Opel has released a teaser sketch of its new five-door extended-range electric car ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. Based on the Voltec powertrain and chassis architecture of Chevrolet's Volt, the Ampera promises to surpass that car in terms of style by some margin. The body appears to be nearly identical between the A- and C-pillars, but the deformed horseshoe-shaped headlamp design and two-bar grille come straight from the 2007 Flextreme concept, as do the car's tree-branch alloy wheels.
