Infiniti shifts away from RWD-only lineup
Mon, 29 Aug 2011After years of staking its reputation on the cachet of rear-wheel-drive luxury vehicles, Infiniti Division says it can continue just fine with front-wheel-drive platforms, too. Infiniti's last front-wheel-drive vehicle was the 2000 model year I35, a reworked Nissan Maxima, which was discontinued in 2004. Now, a bevy of new front-wheel products are coming.

But VW’s adventure in to WRC with the Polo R hasn’t just been about a bit of product development and a spun-off road version – they’ve taken it very seriously. So seriously have VW taken WRC – and so well prepared were they – that Sebastian Ogier has already taken the 2013 drivers gong in WRC (from the previous – long term – incumbent Sebastian Loeb) with three races left, in his 315bhp, 4WD Polo R, and VW look set to take the team title too.
Chrysler and Nissan cancel vehicle-swapping deal
Wed, 26 Aug 2009Chrysler and Nissan are canceling their 2008 deals to build vehicles for each other, the automakers announced Wednesday afternoon. Chrysler was to provide Nissan with a full-sized truck, based on the Dodge Ram, starting in 2011. It would have been a replacement for the Nissan Titan.
