Vauxhall Cascada: Official
Wed, 17 Oct 2012The new 2013 Vauxhall Cascada – a full size convertible and the modern version of the Astra Twin Top – has been revealed. For some reason best known to Vauxhall, they chose not to debut the Cascada at the Paris Motor Show – perhaps to give the new Adam its moment in the sun – but now we get Vauxhall’s latest model in its revised line-up. The Cascada is a proper full size, four seat convertible – it’s only a couple of inches shorter than a Mercedes E Class Cabriolet – and has its underpinnings based on elements from both the Insignia and Astra and comes with a folding fabric roof instead of the tin-top folding roof in the Twin Top which can be raised and lowered in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 30mph.
Renault Twingo Gordini Renaultsport revealed
Wed, 25 Nov 2009The new Twingo Gordini Renaultsport will go on sale in March 2010 It’s only a couple of weeks since we reported that Renault are going to revive the Renault Gordini badge for a new range of sporty cars, a report that was followed a few days later with a confirmation from Renault, and the news that the Twingo Gordini Renaultsport would be the first to launch. And Renault has now revealed the first of the Gordini cars. The new Twingo Gordini stays faithful to the heritage of the Gordini moniker with a Fench Blue paint job, white stripes and quilted leather.
Why Steve McQueen canceled a $3 million life insurance policy
Fri, 25 Apr 2014Spurred by the story of our ride in Steve McQueen's Jaguar XKSS, Richard Haight felt inclined to chime in with the fact that he not only raced motorcycles with (and against) McQueen, but knew him all the way until the King of Cool's death. Haight raced motorcycles on and off for 50 years. McQueen would come and race at the local American Motorcycle Association District 37, usually entering under assumed names like "Harvey Mushman" to enjoy some semblance of normality.
