THE CYLINDERS WERE BORED & HONED +.030 WITH DECK PLATES. NEW CLEVITE CAM BEARINGS, BRASS FREEZE PLUGS WERE INSTALLED. THE OTHER REMANUFACTURED PART IS THE EDELBROCK PERFORMER 351 INTAKE MANIFOLD, EVERYTHING ELSE IS BRAND NEW. THE ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEADS ARE FORD M6049-X302 WITH 64CC CHAMBERS THE VALVES ARE FERREA 1.94 INTAKE & 1.550 EXHAUST. IT HAS A ISKENDERIAN 280 HYDRAULIC CAM, LIFTER,SPRING KIT INSTALLED.WITH 302 FIRING ORDER PLUS ISKY TITANIUM RETAINERS WITH 4130 LOCKS, TEFLON SEALS. THE ALUMINUM ROLLER ROCKER ARE PRW 1.6 RATIO. THERE IS A CLOYES DOUBLE ROW CHAIN & GEARS, NEW FUEL PUMP ECENTRIC. NEW FRONT COVER WITH FUEL PUMP BOSS. A SFI DAMPNER WITH ZERO BALANCE. Volvo reveals safety kit on 2015 XC90 SUV

So far the Swedish carmaker has teased us with designer sketches of how the seven-seat crossover will look, told us how it will be offered with a 395bhp plug-in hybrid that emits just 60g/km of CO2 and released official pictures of the production XC90’s interior. Now it’s time for the Volvo publicity machine to tell us about the novel new safety tech that will protect us from ourselves and this includes two claimed world firsts.

Born in Switzerland, raised in France and educated in Italy, Schwarz is perhaps best known for his time as Nissan Design Europe design director. He first worked with the illustrious, family-run company in September last year before recently taking up his new, full-time role.

VW’s first small flatbed since the Mk1 Golf-based Caddy will take on trucks like the Toyota Hilux and Mitusbishi L200 when it goes on sale late in 2009. It is, but not for long. This thinly veiled concept, called simply Pickup Concept, has been designed as a search and rescue vehicle for coastguards but essentially this is what badge-conscious UK builders will be driving in 2009. The new Volkswagen corporate face with its monobrow top grille and wide mouth is likely to be carried over mostly unchanged to the cars that will roll off the South African production line, as will the surprisingly stylish interior which features hooded instruments and Audi TT-style air vents. Mechanical details are sketchy but Volkswagen claims that engines will be common-rail diesels which rules out the old-tech 2.5 five pot that powers many of VW’s current commercials.
