This engine is a diamond in the rough but can complete your numbers matching Corvette, COPO Camaro, or full size Chevrolet rebuild. Block casting number 3963512. Heads date stamp March 1969. Engine assembly code: T0314LC. Water pump and starter recently replaced.
I took it to a reputable engine shop to have it checked out. Compression 180, 185, 185, 185, 185, 180,175, 180. Oil pressure 50psi at start up, no leaks. Their opinion is it just needs some TLC to bring horsepower and torque back to specifications.
Hotrodders, this -512 block is highly sought after because it's among the thickest blocks around, allowing it to be be over-bored, if desired.
Available for local pickup (metro-Detroit area).
