New 2015 Kia Sorento revealed
Mon, 11 Aug 2014The new Kia Sorento, revealed ahead of its debut in Paris We got a tease for the 2015 Kia Sorento last month with Kia revealing the new Sorento gets a slightly more sporting look with a lower roofline, higher beltline, sculptured body surfaces and a new ‘Tiger Nose’ grill. Now, with the new Sorento due to debut in South Korea later this month – and in Europe at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October – Kia has revealed the first photos of the new Sorento. The new Sorento looks a decent effort, and the styling is certainly more appealing, despite elements carried over from the current Sorento, but there’s certainly influences from Kia’s Cross GT Concept.
Mitsubishi ASX 3 1.8 Diesel 2WD Review & Road Test (2010) Part 2
Fri, 12 Nov 2010Mitsubishi ASX Review and Road Test Part 2 The 1.8 litre diesel engine fitted to our Mitsubishi ASX 3 1.8 Diesel 2WD is perhaps the most individual part of this new ASX, offering as it does a world first – variable valve timing on a diesel engine. That makes for free-revving engine which offers more oomph than you would expect. The ASX is better than much of the competition to drive, thanks in part to this 1.8 litre DiD lump.

Fast-forward five years and we've swapped the show halls of the IAA for a beauty spot on the north-west coast of Scotland. And, while the car's name has changed to i8, our sentiment towards this genre- and era-defining car remains. Admittedly the production car's design execution hasn't received the universal praise of its concept forebears, but, on a remote outpost of the British Isles, a Protonic Blue i8 couldn't look more exotic.
