From end plate to end plate ( the part that fits in the case) is 16 1/8 x 6 wide x 2, and yes it has 5/8 hose fittings. The old style coil was called a "V Cell" it had removable threaded fittings, some years back was replaced by the tube & Fin style which has better air flow, heat Dissipation and doesn't corrode as bad.
