46 47 48 Ford Flathead V8 Engine - Model 59 - Complete Motor - Runs

----

Does not burn oil - see the video below

----

This engine was run on a 12 volt negative ground setup

Starter works fine on 12 volts

No idea if the 6 volt coil works - I used my own 12 volt coil

Original 6 volt coil comes with the engine

No idea if the generator works, no idea if the water pumps work

One of the water pumps has the engine mount broken off - see picture

The fuel pump stand is cracked where the oil filler cap goes - see picture

No idea what kind of oil pressure this engine makes

Engine starts right up as long as the choke is set properly

----

Original Holley 94 - Model 59 carb was cleaned and rebuilt

This is the 24 stud (not bolt) version

Block says 59 on the bellhousing

One head says 59A, the other head says 59 A-B

----

Engine was only run for 30 to 60 seconds due to no water in it

----

Comes as shown in pictures and also the fan, oil filler cap, two air filters, and two radiator hoses

McLaren P1 back at the Nurburgring in attack mode

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

The McLaren P1 is back at the Nurburgring looking to set a new record It was brave of Ron Dennis to declare – before the McLaren P1 was anywhere close to finished – that the it would be able to lap the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes. He was obviously very confident his new baby was up to the task but, just like McLaren’s current Formula One car, the P1 seems to be just a bit off the pace. Last month we reported that it seemed the best the McLaren P1 could do at the Nurburgring was a 7:04s – a time McLaren didn’t make official – so we knew McLaren would be back with their laptops and engineers as soon as they’d figured a way to trim those last few seconds.

Fiat 500C – the reveal happens

Mon, 16 Feb 2009

As we told you on Saturday, Fiat intended unveiling the new convertible 500 - The Fiat 500C – today, and here we have the first official images of the car. As we expected, the 500C gets a full-length canvas roof, with the C pillars staying in place to keep the cost down and add strength. But it seems we were wrong on its action – it’s going to be electric.

New Lancia Ypsilon in UK – as Chrysler Ypsilon

Sat, 12 Feb 2011

New Lancia Ypsilon Tease Sketch - we'll get it as the Chrysler Ypsilon Lancia finally left the UK in 1994 after a decade or two of falling sales which owed much to the Fiat brand developing perforated body panels after a week or three. Lancia had plans in place to come back to the UK in 2008, but the storm clouds which had gathered over the car economy put paid to that. But now, as part of the Fiat Chrysler partnership, they’re coming back.
