What I have up for bids here is a good used and completely original factory Rotax engine thermostat and elbow sockets pulled from a grey head 582 Rotax engines that we are parting out and fitting many liquid cooled Rotax engines including the 462, 532, 582, 583, 617, 618 and more!. Do you need a good used thermostat for your older 582? Want a spare for your engine. Into a built and need a couple of elbow an such for your coolant set-up. Well here you go! Now as noted above this thermo and sockets were pulled from an older 582, but these parts may be used on many of the other Rotax L/C engines including the 462, 532, 582, 583 and 618 engines and more.. Audi S1 at Paris
Sat, 11 Sep 2010The Audi S1 will have a Paris Launch (A1 Wörthersee Concept pictured) It’s getting on for a year since we reported that – despite some saying it wouldn’t happen – Audi were planning at least a warm version of the A1 and had on the drawing board the Audi S1 to take on the MINI Cooper. So it’s not a shock that we hear Audi are planning on bring the S1 along to Paris for a reveal before getting the S1 on the roads by the second quarter of 2011. Expect the usual Audi S bits in the mix - bigger wheels, fettled suspension, beefed-up brakes, body kit – and power in the S1 to come from the S/C turbo 1.4 TSI found in the VW Polo GTI, although the S1 may just get a tweaked version of the engine as befits its higher standing in the VW hierarchy with a bit more than the 178 horses the Polo GTI manages.
CCS students design tomorrow's headlights
Wed, 21 Dec 2011The College of Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit teamed up with Visteon and Osram to give 18 CCS seniors an opportunity to create new automotive lighting designs using the latest technology. CCS has been partnering with Visteon since 2002 and with Osram since 2010. The trio gave students a chance at hands-on design experience under the guidance of designers and engineers from Visteon and Osram as a class during the 2011 fall semester.
