Saab: Forget Pang Da – now it’s Bank of China

Saab - is the Bank of China the White Knight? It’s reported that Victor Muller has now put together a new deal to ‘Save Saab’, involving Youngman and Saab plus the Bank of China. In yet another new deal for Saab, it’s reported this morning that Victor Muller has now put together a new deal to try and save Saab from its (still) imminent desire.

KoenigSaab coming soon?

Koenigsegg are in the running to take over Saab Saab were given Swedish Government protection recently (similar to Chapter 11) to try and find a suitor or funding to operate independently. Of course they can’t do that completely, at least not in the short term, as they are so tied in to GM’s platforms on their current and soon to be released cars. But Saab has a strong – if quirky – history and, with the right backing, could stand alone as a niche maker of aesthetically individual cars.

Renault Dezir concept (2010) first official pictures

These are the first pictures of the Renault Dezir, a sporty Clio-sized electric concept set to be unveiled at the Paris motor show in September 2010. This is the first car produced under the watch of new design director Laurens van den Acker, who's charged with reinvigorating the Renault range after Patrick le Quement's departure. The Dezir concept car heralds a new design language for Renault, which has seen the small car market become increasingly chic (think Citroen DS3) yet it's soldiered on with just the Clio and, now, the Wind Roadster.
