Hearst moves Road & Track
Thu, 14 Jun 2012New York publishing house Hearst says it will move the Road & Track magazine editorial offices from Newport Beach, Calif., to Ann Arbor, Mich., home of its other auto-magazine title, Car and Driver. Additionally, Larry Webster has been named editor in chief, replacing Matt DeLorenzo. Webster had been automotive editor of Hearst's Popular Mechanics since January 2010 and before that was the Detroit editor for Popular Mechanics.

The E-Bugster is essentially the same Beetle that debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show last year below its beltline but above it a more steeply raked and shallower windscreen determine its new character. This, in combination with the hard top fitted to the show car creates a silhouette 400mm lower than the standard car, giving it a hint of SoCal speedster.

Which is a shame. It’s a shame because the 4 Series Gran Coupe is a very good looking car – as is its big brother, the 6 Series Gran Coupe – even if we struggle to see how BMW are going to manage to differentiate it sufficiently from the new 3 Series saloon.
