2014 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition debuts at Detroit auto show

Amid the high-tech and highfalutin premieres at the Detroit auto show, it was refreshing to see the 2014 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition. The truck returned to Ram's lineup after a one-year absence, and we got to see it firsthand on the floor of Cobo Hall. Designed for hunting and fishing fans, the Mossy Oak edition is meant for truck lovers who spend a lot of time outdoors.

For its iconic 3-series-based performance model, BMW will dispense with a 26-year tradition of high-revving naturally aspirated engines in lieu of turbocharged six-cylinder power. With an official fuel consumption of 54mpg and emissions of 125g/km, the latest Mercedes CLA 250 manages to improve emissions and economy figures by 7 per cent using a lean-burn process, without affecting performance. The Mercedes A 200 CDI gets a bigger engine – up from 1.8 to 2.2 litres – and 136hp and 221lb/ft of torque and, with the 7Speed DCT ‘box fitted, manages official consumption of 72mpg and emissions of 102g/km – 7g/km less than the old 1.8 litre A 200 CDI.
