New Volkswagen Golf GTI spec revealed: Gets 217bhp or 227bhp

Volkswagen has revealed the new 2013 Golf GTI Specs ahead of a Geneva showing. Gets 217bhp or an extra 10bhp with the Performance Package. As we already know, the new Golf GTI comes with a 2.0 litre TFSI engine good for 217bhp or, if you opt for the Performance Package, you can have an extra 10bhp – enough to cut the standard GTI’s 0-62mph (6.5s) by 0.1 seconds and add an ectra 3mph to the top speed (rises to 155mph).

AMG recounts its history in new video

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG roadster is just the latest in a long line of pumped-up rides from AMG. The company has been putting wrenches to Mercedes-Benz engines since 1967, when Hans-Werner Aufrecht ("A") went into business with Erhard Melcher ("M") and founded AMG. Looking like a BMW Z4 with Italian panache in spades (which is what we expect it to be under the skin – BMW aren’t saying) it looks like Aston Martin will have extra competition in the Concept Car category this weekend from BMW with the Zagato Coupe.
