Nissan launches new Note with digital flipbook

Nissan has developed an inventive way of advertising its new Note hatchback on its Japanese website – using a digital flipbook called ‘Long scroll, Long Drive, Long Life'. The start of the flipbook sees a couple getting into the Note and as you scroll down, the car begins to weave through Tokyo roads, while information at the side of the screen tells you in detail about the car's features and performance. Saab 9-2, just a pipe dream?

The Web is lit up today with stories of an upcoming Saab 9-2 because Spyker CEO and Saab owner Victor Muller evidently has sketched what he sees as a new small Saab. It could be a pipe dream, but Muller insists the Swedish automaker really wants it to happen. Muller has been quoted as calling it "a small car, a quirky car, a Saab in the truest sense of the word." Muller said the car would be a small front-drive hatch, a little bigger than a Mini.

Honda recalls the CR-V, CR-Z for fixes

Honda is recalling CR-V crossovers to fix a window switch that could start a fire, and the CR-Z hybrid with manual transmission to make a change to the powertrain software. The new Honda recall is part of a global recall of nearly 960,000 vehicles, including the Honda Fit, for problems with the window switch and the hybrid powertrain. The recall for the Honda CR-V covers 80,111 crossovers from the 2006 model year.
