NEW master rebuild kit for the 1994-1996 4R44E, 4R55E 4x4 transmissions. This kit contains all Borg-Warner clutches and "Steel plates." Make sure you get a kit with steel plates. The cheaper ones don't have them and you "will" need them. Also included is a Transtec soft parts kit with every rubber seal and gasket that you'll need to complete your rebuild. The kit comes with a new filter, pump bushing and extension housing bushing. The kit also comes with the intermediate, overdrive and reverse bands. Remember to soak all of your clutches in tranny fluid for thirty minutes before you install them. GM recalls the Chevrolet Cruze for possible steering problems
Thu, 05 May 2011General Motors said on Wednesday that it will recall 154,112 Chevrolet Cruze sedans to check for a problem with the steering shaft. A GM spokesman said the issue was discovered when a customer lost steering control in a parking lot but did not have an accident. GM says no accidents have occurred because of the problem.

McLaren MP4-12C gets the axe

That's according to a letter sent by CEO Mike Flewitt to owners that read in part, “The final piece of news I wanted to share with you is regarding 12C production, which we have decided to cease in light of the success of 650S. The new car has been so well received since its unveiling at the Geneva motor show (we already have a six-month order bank), we will focus all our capacity at the McLaren Production Centre on 650S.” This represents a turnaround for the company that just a few days ago said the 650S would slot between the 12C and P1 in the lineup, and that both would continue.
