READ THIS BEFORE BUYING LEDs to replace your factory bulbs. The factory bulbs in these clusters are incandescent
type/ they're not LEDs --LEDs are a modification to these clusters. What the sellers of
LEDs for these clusters don't tell you, is LEDs are polarity dependent -meaning there's a positive and negative side. These circuit boards
aren't marked for positive and negative, nor are the LEDs marked. You
need a power source and tester to get them right. The factory-like incandescent bulbs (like included in this kit) don't have a positive and negative side, so there isn't the above complications involved in installing them. Also, some of the LEDs being sold on ebay for these clusters, are not electrically correct. If you understand the complications involved in switching to LEDs and still want them, then use the ones with the resistors. I can include blue bulb caps on request at no extra charge. They're molded blue sleeves that go over the bulbs to make the gauge back lighting glow blue. They use the incandescent bulbs, so are electrically correct, and there's no special procedure required to install them. Again, not everyone wants the blue gauges, so please ask if you want me to include the blue bulb caps. Otherwise the kit will come with the bulbs w/o caps that keep the factory look. The best soldering tools and solder wire Our soldering irons are the correct tip temp, which is very important in the success of this repair. The solder wire is genuine Kester brand -the highest quality available- and is what is used in most all professional circuit board work. Other sellers use any soldering iron (with no concern of tip temp), and cheap incorrect solder wire. They've basically copied our idea, but didn't do correctly. That can cause problems, and with them having no experience in this, they can offer no support after. DO IT YOURSELF KIT It's easy If
any of your gauge needles are sticking, shuttering, giving false
readings or pegging out - defective factory steppers are the epidemic
cause and this is your fix. To repair speedometer, tachometer, fuel, temp, oil or any other gauges Lifetime warranty on the stepper motors This is an auction, where people will bid until the end. If you don't want to wait, and need to buy this kit now CLICK HERE What you'll get...
Fast Shipping... Your kit will ship the same or following day of payment received. In most instances, packages going to US locations will be delivered in 3 business days. Dealerships are charging between $400 and $700 to do this repair. -Your car won't be down while you're waiting for the dealership or someone else to do this easy fix. -You won't need to ship your cluster across the country, risking damage in transit. Removing the cluster is most of the work, don't pay someone else to do the easier part of the repair. What you should know... Others are selling the previous version - defective motors or China made knockoffs that they falsely claim to be superior... or even worse, imitations that are all prone to fail. We're the only seller with the latest updated steppers motors, by Juken (the original equipment manufacturer / we'll provide proof of authenticity on request). Juken the only manufacturer trusted/used in new car production by Ford, BMW, GM and others. Juken's also used exclusively by all authorized Delphi repair

SEAT Leon Cupra 280: Fans enjoy a simulator drive – or did they? (video)
Fri, 21 Mar 2014The SEAT Leon Cupra 280 Extreme Simulator In January the SEAT Leon Cupra and Cupra 280 were revealed as SEAT’s take on the VW Golf GTI, but with things taken to another level. That meant the SC getting 261bhp and the 5-door Cupra 280 a very appealing 276bhp, enough to get the 280 to 62mph (when fitted with the DSG ‘box) in 5.7 seconds – appealingly lively. Not surprisingly, there were plenty of SEAT fans wanting to get up close and personal with the Leon Cupra 280, so SEAT invited a lucky pair to get suitably suited and led them in to an extreme simulator for the virtual drive of their life.
Concept Car of the Week: Mercedes T80 (1939)
Fri, 19 Sep 2014In the decade before World War II, no other carmaker even came close to matching the combined dominance of Mercedes-Benz and recently founded Auto Union. Supported by Adolf Hitler's Nazi government, the two brands had grander plans to demonstrate Germany's technological supremacy. In August 1936, Auto Union engineer Ferdinand Porsche and race car driver Hans Stuck approached Wilhelm Kissel, chairman of Daimler-Benz, and presented a plan to build a car that would set a new land speed world record.
