The Santa Clarita memorial, planned through social media, was due to begin at noon, but mourners began arriving hours earlier to leave flowers, candles, stuffed animals and other tributes. Eagle builds a new E-type speedster

The speedster, commissioned by enthusiast Dr Rick Velaj, uses a standard 1966 E-type as its base. Eagle then rebuilt it to a new sky-high specification, clad it in a one-off aluminium bodyshell, fitted it with its Supersport options (stiffer suspension, uprated brakes and modern tyres) and strapped in its own highly developed 4.7-litre straight six.

The French-based boutique carmaker took two examples of the Veyron to this week's Shanghai motor show--the Asian debut for the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport and an individually customized 16.4 Grand Sport. The Veyron 16.4 Super Sport in Shanghai wears black-colored carbon-fiber bodywork, accented with polished and anodized aluminum trim such as the badges and wheels.
