Ford recalls trucks to fix fuel-tank straps
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Ford is recalling 1.1 million pickups to fix fuel-tank straps that can corrode and possibly break. The recall covers 1997-2003 Ford F-150s, F-250s and the Lincoln Blackwood pickup. The fuel-tank straps could corrode over time, leading to failure and the tank dropping to the pavement.

The Winsford Rock Salt Mines – 130 miles of salt mining tunnels running under Cheshire – are the result of salt mining since the 19th century and now comprise of 130 miles of tunnels some 189 metres below ground, a void beneath the earth of 23 million cubic metres. Still a working salt mine, Winsford is also home to a massive storage facility for, among others, the National Archive, where constant temperatures of 14C make for an ideal storage environment.
BMW launches mobile app for gaming, social media

The app helps users find the best roads to drive in more than 50 countries. It enables them to then rate those roads and comment about them via Facebook, e-mail or other GPS devices.
