The 2013 Škoda Octavia has been unveiled ahead of its world debut at the Geneva motor show in March. Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň and his team completely redesigned the outgoing second-generation model and it has grown in length and width by 90 mm and 45 mm respectively. The wheelbase has also grown by 108mm, making more room for the occupants inside.

Nissan’s upmarket Infiniti brand officially launched its European range in Geneva, essentially a slimlined and simplified interpretation of its US model line-up: G37 coupe and saloon, EX37 coupe crossover and an all-new V8 coupe crossover to sit at the top of the range: the FX50. The latter model is essentially a scaled up EX37, though the nose treatment is notably bluffer and, to our eyes, a little too severe.

The Elf-Tyrrell project P34 six-wheeler remains one of the most radical designs ever presented for a Formula One car. This selection from the Autoweek archives comes from Sept. 27, 1975, when the P34 was revealed by Derek Gardner, chief designer for the Tyrrell Racing Organization.
