Pagani Huayra confirmed for U.S.
Tue, 15 Feb 2011The Pagani Huayra - Confirmed for the US Despite becoming a hypercar maker of renown – a major achievement in a little over a decade – Pagani has never sold cars in the US. Which means the delicious Zonda – in all its many iterations – has never been available in the US market, and even imports from other parts of the world are impossible. Well, impossible if you follow the rules, but if you care to bend things a little… But Pagani always planned to sell the Pagani Huayra – Pagani’s latest creation – in to the US.
New Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept leaks
Mon, 14 Apr 2014The Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept (pictured) leaks ahead of its debut The next models in line at Land Rover for a complete makeover are the Freelander and the Discover, both of which are going to be badged Discovery and will be previewed by the Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept at the New York Auto Show in a few days. But we already have the first photo of the new Discovery Vision Concept after Jalopnik published it this afternoon. The new Discovery certainly has influences form the new Range Rover, but it also offers more than a passing resemblance to the Ford Explorer – but then the Ford Explorer was plagiarised from Land Rover in the first place, so that’s probably not a real problem.
Bloodhound 1000mph World Speed Record attempt goes carbon neutral. Piffle.
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Richard Noble’s Bloodhound Land Speed Record attempt will now be carbon neutral thanks to sponsorship by Carbon Neutral Investments (CNI). People like Richard Noble – leader of the Bloodhound Project aiming to break the 1000mph land speed record – are made of the same stuff as Spitfire pilots and Biggles, with a gung-ho approach to the inherent dangers and an inability to contemplate failure; British Bulldog Spirit at its best. So it seems almost sad that a proper Boy’s Own adventure like the Bloodhound SSC – a 133,000bhp rocket and jet powered racing car – should bow to trendy PC sensibilities by announcing it’s a ‘Carbon Neutral’ project.
