Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2012) the Vantage S-inspired upgrade
Mon, 20 Feb 2012This is Aston Martin’s new V8 Vantage, with a new gearbox, styling tweaks and chassis upgrades. You might think it looks little different than before – and that’s no bad thing – but Aston Martin claims the updates amount to ‘most comprehensive programme of enhancements’ since the 4.7-litre version of the V8 Vantage was launched in 2008. The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2012, just in time to distract potential customers away from the new Porsche 911. So what’s new about the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage?
Italdesign Giugiaro Parcour Concept: Geneva Motor Show
Tue, 05 Mar 2013ItalDesign Giugiaro – owned by Volkswagen – has created a compact SUV crossover – the Italdesign Giugiaro Parcour Concept – based on Lamborghini underpinnings. The Giugiaro Parcour – named after the odd French habit of bouncing off buildings – has been developed as both a coupe and a roadster (you can see both in the pictures above) and uses the potent 542bhp 5.2 litre V10 from the Lamborghini Gallardo as well as a Lambo 4WD system to create what ItalDesign say is a blend of crossover, SUV, sports car and GT. All bases covered, then.
Citroën designer teases production Cactus on French TV
Tue, 29 Oct 2013Citroën has given us a first glimpse of its production C4 Cactus model on a French television show. Viewers of TF1's ‘Auto Moto' program saw its presenter briefly lift the cover from the car's side, which showed that the unique ‘Airbumps' - made from a spongy material that protects against everyday wear and tear - have been retained, while a B-pillar and standard door handles have been added. An interior digital render was also presented, showing a cabin that's largely unchanged from the concept, which was unveiled at this year's Frankfurt motor show.
