A Porsche source has confirmed that Porsche are working on a smaller Panamera – the ‘Pajun’ – and a mid-engined Porsche 960. Now that Porsche has finally become part of VW, it can move forward with its plans to fill every supercar niche in the same way Audi is in a mission to fill – and create – every premium car niche. With two new models already officially confirmed as on the way – the Porsche Macan (a smaller Cayenne) and the Porsche 918 – Porsche’s minds are now firmly focused on the next two new models from Stuttgart – the eighth and ninth models in the range.

Sao Paolo 'Giugiaro – 45 Years of Italian Design' exhibition announced

The ‘Giugiaro – 45 years of Italian Design' exhibition will be held at the Sao Paolo Museu da Casa Brasileira. The show, held from 7 February until 31 March, highlights the significance of Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro's work for the Italian design identity. The Museu da Casa Brasileira, which gives the most important design award in Brazil, will use five rooms to display exhibits ranging from car designs and concepts – the Aztec and Structura – to production models including the Volkswagen Golf Mk 1.

Imre Molnar memorial service announced

Imre Molnar will be honored in a memorial service this month, the College for Creative Studies (CCS) has confirmed. CCS President Richard Rogers has announced that on 20 January at 3.00pm (EST) all who knew Molnar are welcome to attend the service and share with his family in a remembrance of his life. Molnar, who was the college provost, passed away during the holiday season after riding his bicycle in California and suffering a fatal heart attack on the afternoon of 28 December.
