KIA WINS AUTO EXPRESS USED CAR SCHEME OF THE YEAR

KIA’S Approved Used Car Scheme has been recognised as the best in the industry having been crowned Used Car Scheme of the Year in the Auto Express Used Car Awards 2011. The magazine praised Kia for going above and beyond normal approved used programmes with a number of customer benefits including its industry-leading seven year warranty that is fully transferable to subsequent owners.  Approved Used Kias don’t just get the balance of their manufacturer warranty.  Instead, the warranty is topped back up to the full seven years meaning that an Approved Used Kia gets the same warranty as a brand new Kia. Jaguar C-X16 won't be the Jaguar XE It’s been revealed that the new smaller sport car from Jaguar – the C-X16 Concept – won’t be called the Jaguar XE. The Jaguar C-X16 Concept – a new smaller sports car based on the next generation XK platform – was revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and although we were a little underwhelmed with the design – there is nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t seem to move Jaguar’s design language on – we loved what was on offer. What we did think – in common with just about everyone else – is that Jaguar would make their new Sports car the Jaguar XE, evoking memories of the original E-Type in the process and fitting in with the current Jaguar nomenclature quite well.

Think, again: Norwegian electric-car maker looks for U.S. plant

Think, the Norwegian electric-car maker, says it plans to build an assembly plant and a technical center in the United States. After financing failed in the wake of the collapse of credit markets in late 2008, the company entered Norway's debt-settlement process (the equivalent of Chapter 11 bankruptcy), and production of its recently redesigned Think city car was halted. It continues operating under a $6 million interim funding measure while it pursues additional financing.
