Britain’s safest drivers live in Greater London
Tue, 26 Nov 2013Analysis from motorists using a car insurance driving safety app has revealed that the top area for safe driving is Greater London – including areas such as busy Islington, Chelsea and Croydon. New car sales accelerate again
Wed, 07 May 2014NEW CAR SALES could be back to pre-recession levels by the end of this year after a good start to 2014. Latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show there were 176,820 new vehicles registered in April - an 8.2% rise on the same month last year. Last month's figure took the total for the year so far to 864,942 - a 12.5% increase on the first four months of 2013.
Renault-Nissan and Mitsubishi to join forces
Tue, 05 Nov 2013MITSUBISHI and the existing Renault-Nissan alliance are set to work together on a series of new cars. Discussions aren’t finished but as part of the deal Mitsubishi will get hold of a Renault chassis large enough to use as a base a full-size saloon for the North American market. The firms will also further develop an electric version of a Japan-only ‘kei car’.
