BMW has released new images and a lengthy press release detailing the design process for the new 7 Series sedan, set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October. We'll spare you the hyperbole here, but stay tuned for a Design Review of the Munich-based automaker's new range topping vehicle once we've seen the car in the metal in Paris. 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe is revealed, and a V-Series model is confirmed

Two-door Cadillacs have always had a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts of means, reinforcing the brand as a purveyor of personal luxury and performance. Now comes the latest in the lineage: the 2011 CTS coupe, which will be joined by a high-powered V-Series model. The first official photos of the car in production trim were released on Monday ahead of its showing at the Los Angeles auto show, and the car is the centerpiece for Cadillac's remade product line.

Local Motors XC2V Competition

Local Motors, producer of the Rally Fighter, has teamed up with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to host a design contest. The partnership, which was made possible within the Adaptive Vehicle Makes initiative, aims to create an Experimental Crowd-derived Combat-support Vehicle (XC2V), exploring the potential of a crowd-sourced design for military use. The initiative to develop a crowd-derived vehicle body design for the US military was created in an effort to decrease the time and developmental costs associated with creating niche military vehicles.
