Original not reproduction 50th Anniversary front fender badge. This was fitted to all 1954 models to commemorate Harley Davidson golden anniversary. This is in excellent condition for its age with good threads and only a few minor marks. Take a good look at the photos. I bought this from a gentleman who had it stuck on a wooden beam in his shop for 40 years and if you look at the last photo you can see the badge filled with hard wall plaster with pieces of wood still stuck to it. I carefully removed all the plaster and reclaimed the 8-32 threads. Both threads are very good and you can see from photo the nuts thread to the bottom. ( I will throw in spring washers and nuts) I did not polish or clean the badge. This is a one year only badge and not many left. Reproduction ones without the threaded studs are selling for $100. This is the real deal. I will ship worldwide and Pay Pal only. Insurance is not available from Ireland.

F1 drivers supporting Schumacher

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

F1 DRIVERS from around the world have wished Michael Schumacher a full recovery as he lies in a coma after a skiing accident in France. Martin Brundle, who was Schumacher's team-mate at Benetton in 1992 and 1993, tweeted: "Let's hope Michael Schumacher's ski shunt is not too bad and that he's totally fixable. He's a crazy brave skydiving/bike racing daredevil." Hours later, when the full extent of Schumacher's injuries had become clear, he urged: "Come on Michael, give us one of those race stints at pure qualifying pace to win through, like you used to.

BMW Alpina D3 BiTurbo – a great diesel

Mon, 16 Mar 2009

The BMW Alpina D3 BiTurbo - a brilliant, quick and economical everyday drive Alpina has turned out some stunning versions of the BMW range over the years (and some not so stunning – their 8 Series springs to mind) and they fill a gap that is either not profitable in small volume for BMW or, in some cases, a hole that BMW hasn’t plugged. And this one is a good hole to fill with the BMW Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo, a 3 Series diesel with the heart of a hot hatch. Alpina has taken the engine out of the 1 Series 123d and given it a boost to 240bhp, in the process dropping the 0-60 time to a very creditable 6.9 seconds But it’s not the sprint that count,  but the way this peppy diesel unit delivers it.
