The Sealed Crimp Slip-on Connectors are the most common connectors on the market.

Features:

  • Translucent tubing allows visual inspection, prevents wire corrosion, & provides a waterproof seal
  • Wire gauge imprint for easy identification
  • Tubing does not shrink in length

  • Advantages of Butted Seam Connectors: Formed when metal is stamped, rolled, & butted to create the connector barrel. This allows better wire contact, less voltage drop, increase current flow, & superior tensile strength.

I also sell the MALE heat shrink 14-16 AWG connectors. If purchased together discount may apply.

Porsche 918 infotainment system to be based on HTML5

While some automakers, like Ford and General Motors, are beginning to open up their code to outside developers via application programming interfaces, Porsche's taking a very interesting route for the 918 Spyder's infotainment system. The the hybrid supercar's dashboard interface uses the same code that the modern Internet runs on: HTML5. Germany's AutoBild reports that Porsche cites the ease of programming as part of their rationale for the system; smartphone integration is another.

Besides, for those working their way upstream through the aisles like so many digitally trained trout, the empty spots left by exhibitors that pulled out were like refreshing mountain meadows or little piazzas in crowded Italian cities. Show management stocked the open spots with cushy couches, too, on which many a jet-lagged showgoer snoozed.
