Designed for serious performance big block applications, it feature nitrous bosses, dual distributor holddowns, four corner water ports, and are available for both rectangular or oval port cylinder heads. Rectangular port size at the gasket flange is 1.69-inches wide by 2.31-inches tall, which can be opened up to match the gasket and/or larger port cylinder heads. Runner size is effective for 468 to 540 cid engines. Note: Use Professional Products intake gasket # 53601 or Fel-Pro intake gaskets #1211 (Printoseal) or #1275 (non-Printoseal). Both of these gaskets are the standard 1/16-inch thickness. Fel-Pro also offers a 1/8-inch thick non-Printoseal gasket set #1239 which could be required in some instances where the cylinder heads have been machined. Ford Australia designs Mad Max concepts
Mon, 11 Jul 2011With the iconic road movie ‘Mad Max' set to reappear on the silver screen next year, the Australian International Motor Show played host to two Ford concepts aiming to be the next 'Interceptor'. Built in response to a brief from Top Gear Australia, Ford Australia's Research Centre employees created a variety of machines for Max. The entries, however, were whittled down to those from Nima Nourian and Simon Brook.
Government bid to cut driving options
Wed, 23 Oct 2013PLANS DESIGNED to reduce petrol prices at motorway service stations and a freeze on the cost of the MoT test have been announced by the Government. A crackdown on whiplash injury fraud is also part of the driver-friendly package to be introduced from next year. Justice Secretary Chris Grayling said t he statutory maximum price of the MoT test for a car will be frozen at £54.85 until 2015 - potentially saving up to £50 million for drivers every year.
RM Auctions' Icons sale brings good return on customs
Mon, 28 Sep 2009Hot-rod and custom-car enthusiasts came from across the country for RM Auctions' Icons of Speed and Style sale in Los Angeles on Saturday, which offered the entire collection of the Flying A Garage. Collector Ralph Whitworth had big plans to open a car museum in his native Winnemucca, Nev., and had assembled one of the greatest rod, custom and racing-car collections ever to make it happen. He housed it in a new, climate-controlled building in Winnemucca called the Flying A Garage and had plans to open a museum to draw interest to his hometown.
