DESCRIPTION:  THIS IS - AS FAR AS I RECALL - A SPOTLIGHT FOR A 1955, 1956, OR 1957 PONTIAC (STAR CHIEF, CHIEFTAIN, SUPER CHIEF, STRATO CHIEF, LAURENTIAN, BONNEVILLE, ETC.) AND/OR GMC PICKUP TRUCK.  BECAUSE I'M NOT POSITIVE OF THE INTERCHANGE OR FITMENT CAPABILITIES, I'LL INVOKE THE CAVEAT EMPTOR CLAUSE (incl. the range of years - which could include 1958 and 1959 for the truck interchange, because of major body re-tooling in 1960).  I WILL GLADLY HELP WITH MEASUREMENTS AND DIMENSIONS BEFORE AUCTION ENDS (AND WELCOME PHONE CALLS INQUIRING ABOUT SUCH - SEE NEXT PARAGRAPH).  I'VE HAD IT FOR MANY YEARS, AND CAN'T REMEMBER WITH CERTAINTY WHAT IT CAME OFF OF.  I THINK (I'm fairly sure that) IT WAS FROM A 1955 OR 1956 PONTIAC/GMC.   OF COURSE, 1957 HAD A SIMILAR BODY.  IT MAY FIT OLDSMOBILE, BUICK, CADILLAC, AS WELL AS CHEVY (CHEVROLET), DURING THE SAME PERIOD IN THE FIFTIES (50's).  THE PITTING IS VERY MILD AND LIGHT - WOULD VERY EASILY RECHROME TO SPECTACULAR RESULTS.  THE HEAD PIVOTS LEFT AND RIGHT VERY EASILY, AND THE ON/OFF SWITCH SLIDES WITHOUT A HITCH (although I haven't hooked it up to a battery recently - been in my storage since the '90s).  THE LENS HAS A SUPERFICIAL SCUFF OR SHORT SQUIGGLY LINE THAT ISN'T TOO NOTICEABLE.  I HAVEN'T TRIED TO POLISH IT (not sure if it is glass).  THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS LOSING SOME OF THE SILVERING (ON THE BACK - also small in area), BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE BEHIND YOU WITH IT ADEQUATELY.   I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE TWO CHROME STRAPS ARE FOR ON THE SHAFT.  OVERALL, I FEEL THAT THIS IS A VERY WELL-PRESERVED SPOTLIGHT (FOG LIGHT OR LAMP).  AN NOS ONE WILL COST YOU $1,000 (OR MORE).  IT IS A GENUINE GUIDE SPOT LAMP.

JAPANESE car maker Nissan is preparing the ground for a milestone celebration, as drivers of its popular Leaf electric vehicle race towards the billion kilometre mark. Nissan is creating a series of animated stories centring on the experiences of selected owners to mark the event. For example, Roberto, from Valladolid, narrates his own story as the first taxi driver in Spain to buy a Leaf, explaining that since buying the car in October 2011 he has covered over 100,000 km and eliminated three quarters of his running costs.

Infiniti will face a new marketing challenge when it introduces its first hybrid vehicle next spring, the 2012 M35h sedan. Since the import brand has never sold a hybrid, officials will be attempting to learn which marketing chord resonates more with its customers: performance or fuel economy. "The marketing will center on the point that hybrids have always been about compromise," says Ben Poore, Infiniti Business Unit vice president.
