These are two steel rear leaf spring mount brackets carefully removed from a 1955 or 56 Chevrolet passenger car frame.  They are the ones at the front of the leaf springs and these are specific to a 55 or 56 Chevy, and won't work on 57 Chevys (I have them too).  The must be welded onto the frame like originally installed.  These parts are specific to a '55-56 Chevy because the bolt is lower on the frame than a 57 Chevy.  I believe these are the same for either 2-piece or 1-piece frames.  Parts are in good condition with surface rust.  Please verify that these will fit your application before bidding.

Jaguar C-X17 Concept bringing SUV preview and new platform to Frankfurt

Mon, 02 Sep 2013

The Jaguar C-X17 concept will preview one of the brand's upcoming pair of SUVs, as well as its new modular aluminum platform that will underpin its next generation of cars. The teaser picture accompanying the press release doesn't give a huge amount away in terms of aesthetics, but familiar Jag elements such as the fender haunches and F-Type-style rear lamps suggest this will be instantly recognizable as a Jaguar. Its emphasis will be more on road performance than off-road ability in order to ensure it drives as a Jaguar should and also to avoid stepping on the toes of sister company, Land Rover.

Concept Car of the Week: Honda Kiwami (2003)

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

As part of Honda's exploration into new, clean-performing technologies, the Kiwami concept was created to test public acceptance of the idea of a large, fuel cell-powered luxury sedan.  Unveiled in 2003, the simple yet striking design seemed like a Japanese twist on the Renault Vel Satis concept, which shared a similar wedge profile, wide stance and minimalist approach.  However, the Kiwami found its own interpretation of modern luxury, expressed through elegantly integrated technology rather than with crystal champagne glasses.  Up front, a full-width LED strip headlamp sat flush with the flat bonnet and the rectangular bumper to create a design of primitive beauty.  Further examples of the same simple Japanese aesthetic are found around the car, including the uncluttered body panels and a full-width tail-lamp graphic that matched the front theme.  The dramatic proportions of the interior were closely related to the package of the hydrogen power plant. Unlike other manufacturers at the time, Honda engineers did not create a 'skateboard' fuel cell chassis below the cabin. Instead, a sideways H-shaped layout for the control unit, ultracapacitor, fuel cell stack, hydrogen storage and other components was used, helping to create a lower center of gravity.

Subaru launches production of BRZ, Scion FR-S coupes in Japan

Fri, 16 Mar 2012

Subaru on Friday officially launched production of the rear-drive BRZ sports coupe in its Gunma Main Plant factory in Japan. The plant also builds the Toyota version--which will be sold as the Scion FR-S in the United States--as the Toyota 86 in Japan and as the Toyota GT-86 in Europe. We expect the Subaru BRZ and the Scion FR-S to be in U.S.
