GM 500 Series Power Steering gear box.

Fits: 1955, 1956, 1957 Chevy Belair - 210 - 150 - Wagon - Nomad - Full size passenger car.

These gear boxes are based off of the popular Delphi 600 Series gear box.

This Performance Gear Box utilizes the latest in steering technology including a rack and pinion style servo and specifically tuned effort characteristics.

The result is quick response, precise control, and smooth operation (through out) the entire steering range. This produces excellent road feel and driver feedback!

• This Gear Box is a step up from the "605" in performance and technology. 
• Includes mounting bolts. 
• Much easier to install and more economical. 
• Increased performance over add-on rack & pinion. 
• There is a bolt on cap that creates Zero movement and a leak free seal. 
• Uses existing Pitman Arm
• No need for spacers and shims, this box lines up perfectly to your existing column. 
• 14:1 "SPORT" steering ratio.

• Input shaft is 3/4”-30 spines (the same as the 605 box)
• Sector shaft is 1” 36-4 tapered spine, the same as the original 1955-64 pitman shaft
• Pressure fitting is 7/16 tube (11/16-18 inv. fl.)
• Return fitting is 3/8 tube (5/8-18 inv. fl.)

Along with most other car makers in the world, Jaguar and Land Rover has been hit hard by the current economic blight. But it seems that Tata has been hit by more grief than most.

FOR SUV owners looking to test their cars’ off-road credentials, the obvious place to put them to the test probably isn’t nearly 200 metres underground. But that’s exactly where the new Mercedes GLA found itself as it descended into Winsford Rock Salt Mine, 620 feet beneath the Cheshire countryside. The working mine, which supplies much of the UK’s gritting salt for wintry roads, played host to four standard (apart from extra driving lights) GLA models, which were lowered down into the mine nose first before being let loose in the 130-mile network of tunnels.
