This CrossWind manifold is designed so that the same model fits both 318*-340-360 engines and the late Magnum V8s. The manifold features an air space under the plenum chamber which allows air to pass through keeping the incoming fuel/air charge cooler than is possible with a conventional design manifold. The Power+Plus CrossWind for Mopar also features nitrous bosses, an extra water port at the rear of the manifold and is available in a highly polished show finish. The manifold is designed to accept the standard length bolts that came with your original engine. Special finishing plugs are provided to attractively cap off the unused bolt holes. Not only is this CrossWind model loaded with extra features not found on competitive manifolds, it is also substantially less expensive than any similar manifold available for the small block Mopar V8 engine family.

We’d be most surprised if you rejected the Mercedes SLS AMG for being too slow and too subtle, but if you crave a few racecar touches for your gullwing supercar then Mercedes will oblige with this: the SLS AMG Black Series. Like the ‘BS’ models that’ve gone before, the SLS Black employs a weight reduction, ramped-up power and better aerodynamics to give more extreme looks and performance. Read on for the full spec of a Mercedes with more power than a McLaren 12C Spider.

CES 2011 opens in Las Vegas

Thu, 06 Jan 2011

The pace of development in the world of consumer electronics – particularly touchscreens, smartphones and tablet devices – is increasingly influential on the world of automotive design. So with the world's biggest electronics trade show, the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), opening today in Las Vegas, we thought it high time for Car Design News to attend.  The 2011 show has a strong automotive flavor, more so than in any previous year. CES was the event at which Ford chose to launch its industry leading in-car connectivity feature, Sync, in 2008 and, for the third year running, Ford CEO Alan Mulally will deliver a keynote address, during which he is expected to unveil Ford's Nissan Leaf-rivaling, electric-powered Focus.

Maserati banks on Chrysler to boost global sales

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has bold plans for the automaker's Maserati luxury sports car unit: to boost annual sales almost tenfold to 50,000 units from 5,675 last year. Three new models are key to this midterm goal and all are based on systems and components from Chrysler Group. Maserati will introduce two new sedans to replace its Quattroporte flagship model using technology from Chrysler's large sedans such as the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Avenger.
