Jaguar to end XK production after 18 years
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Jaguar will this summer cease production of the XK 2+2 GT car after 18 years at the top of the Coventry firm’s model range. The decision to stop making the XK comes after the hugely successful launch of the F-Type – which, say analysts, has led to a big fall in XK sales as thousands of buyers queues up to buy the F-Type. Wed, 20 Jul 2011Shelby American is adding a little incentive to pick up one of its one-off Ford Mustang creations: Buyers won’t have to pay shipping on the 2012 Shelby GT350 and the 2007-12 Shelby GT500 Super Snake--as long as they order by July 31. Depending on where a buyer lives, that could be a savings of up to $1,500. For the uninitiated, Shelby American revamps almost everything mechanical on the Ford Mustang to create the GT350, including front and rear suspension, brakes and intake and exhaust systems.
Michelin Challenge Design Selects Designs for 2009 NAIAS
Tue, 16 Sep 2008The Michelin Challenge Design Jury met in July at Art Center College of Design and selected the designs that will be displayed next January at the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at the Cobo Center in Detroit. The entrants were challenged to create vehicles in support of the central theme ‘BRAVE+BOLD'; America's Next Iconic Vehicle. The designs were evaluated for uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution.
