Volvo XC70 (2007): first official pictures
Tue, 06 Mar 2007By Chris Chilton First Official Pictures 06 March 2007 05:48 I see Volvo hasn't given up on the halfway SUV idea Far from it. In fact Volvo UK watched sales of the old V70-based XC70 rise after the introduction of the full-blown XC90 off-roader. Double Oh My! James Bond Aston Martin sells for $4.6 million
Thu, 28 Oct 2010Perhaps the single most breathtaking car of the fall auction season, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5--better known as the James Bond car--sold for $4.61 million to Ohio collector Harry Yeaggy on Wednesday at the RM Auctions Automobiles of London sale. The Aston was expected to sell for more than $5 million, and the sale fell a bit short of that, registering a final bid of 2.6 million British pounds, or $4,114,760. Buyer's premiums raise the total sale price to $4.61 million.
McLaren F1 for sale – the best one in the world?
Tue, 30 Jun 2009The McLaren F1 - NOT the 'New' car for sale - we're not allowed to show that picture! But with only 64 road cars made (plus the handful of LM models – which would set you back considerably more), and the ability to stand shoulder to shoulder with the modern ‘Best Car in the World’ title holder – the Bugatti Veyron – it should be no surprise that they fetch such high prices. And if any more McLaren F1s set on fire, as we reported recently, the ones left will all go up in value.
