56 Chevy Accessory Rear Fender (bumper) Guards 987329 Nos on 2040-parts.com
Snohomish, Washington, United States
New Old Stock accessory rear fender guards for 1956 Chevrolet passenger cars. GM part number 987329. These are sometimes referred to as rear bumper guards as they mount on the ends of the rear bumper. Installation requires drilling holes in the bumper. Sold with the original box, hardware and a copy of the instructions. Read Carefully: They show significant shelf ware and are priced accordingly. Both guards have an area of deep scratches, the left just below the center point and the right on the outer edge. You can run them as-is on a driver, but I would send them in for plating if installed on a show car. Payment is due within 48 hours. I combine shipping. If you have any questions or need a combined shipping quote, feel free to contact me.

E85 makes inroads on cost and availability
Wed, 30 Dec 2009Three years ago, we embarked on a Midwest road trip in search of what was then the Holy Grail of fuel: E85. Our findings weren't too positive--there were far more E85-compatible vehicles on the road in 2006 (5 million) than there were E85 pumps to fuel them (about 700 out of some 200,000 fuel stations nationwide). In addition, those burning the mix of 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol were paying a pretty penny for their earth-friendly ways, losing about 15 percent in fuel economy while often paying the same price as for regular unleaded.
Do Winter Tyres REALLY work? Oh, yes, say Volvo (+ video)
Tue, 03 Dec 2013Volvo prove how effective Winter Tyres are in the Snowdome For some reason, the debate on fitting winter tyres in the UK continues to be a debate, even when those who’ve actually used a car fitted with winter tyres swear by them (an argument not helped by previous government advice). So Volvo – safety conscious as ever – decided to prove the point by taking the very good Volvo V40 off to the Snowdome indoor ski slope in Tamworth to see exactly what difference a set of winter tyres makes to the grip available in a regular, FWD, family Volvo. And the results should make every car owner go out and fit winter tyres.

But October isn’t that far away now, so Smart had released a teaser video for both the new Smart ForTwo and For Four as they build interest for the debut. The video was shot in Sweden where Smart are running camouflaged prototypes on test ahead of the launch, and the video allows the first look of the new Smarts on the move.
