Newport, New York, United States
labeled "57 Chevy" (Didn't actually see the donor or part application (?)
Other Part Number:" L " Surface Finish:Brass Brand:Chevrolet GM

Offered is what I believe (?) to be a power brake fitting for a 1957 Chevy.  It came from a large lot of random auto/truck parts and was/is labeled "1957 Che"  .  (Please see pic 2)

Not sure what models/years....May fit several but please do your own homework.

Large fitting really a "Tee (but I'll call it "elbow" with an 1/8 inch (pipe thread) extra port as a bonus"
Made of brass ......  1/2 " (Male)  X 1/8 " (Female)  X 3/8 " Male.  All threads appear to be tapered NPT (pipe thread)

Smaller fitting made of steel.  Not actually sure what it is/does (?)....restrictor valve ????....you late 50's Chevy / brake guys would know.  Large end threads onto the male 3/8" brass male elbow end .....a little other 2 turns then seems to get tight quite fast.   Inside there appears to be a  pencil eraser sized rubber (?) restriction......likely no good because of being dried out from non use/old age.   (I can blow through it from both ends but only a teeny bit...seems quite restricted either by design or failure.

1/8" pipe plug ...made of brass

Large elbow has a stamped "L" on top

Will do my best to answer any questions or concerns and thank you for looking

Chrysler to close Pacifica Advanced Design Studios

Sun, 09 Mar 2008

The 20 designers at Chrysler's Pacifica Advanced Design Studios in Carlsbad, California will soon be finding themselves out of a job. The struggling North American automaker announced the closure of the facility on Friday, stating that the company is ‘leveraging resources worldwide, forming new joint ventures and alliances and consolidating operations in order to better achieve global balance.' Responsible for many of the more successful designs hailing from Chrysler in recent times, including the Chrysler 300 sedan and the new Dodge Challenger musclecar, the Pacifica Advanced Product Design Center also yielded the Nassau concept car and the Pacifica crossover – bearing the same name as the west coast studios in which it was created. The work done at the Pacifica Advanced Design Center will be consolidated into the Advance Design function in Auburn Hills and continue to be led by Senior Vice President of Design, Trevor Creed.

The vehicle should be easily recognized as coming from a particular culture.

McLaren Automotive First Anniversary: 1,000 McLaren MP4-12C sold and counting

Thu, 21 Jun 2012

McLaren Automotive is a year old and is celebrating selling over 1,000 McLaren MP4-12Cs in the first twelve months. It’s actually a bit more than  three years since Ron Dennis announced the formation of McLaren Automotive, which had a live launch on Cars UK on 18th March 2010. But McLaren don’t seem to acknowledge that date as the start of McLaren Automotive but instead prefer the date the first MP4-12C was sold – exactly one year ago today on June 21st 2011.
