This is a genuine original restored accelerator to carburetor bell crank assembly used on 57 Ford with F/M transmission, P/N B7AZ-7A185-E, complete with # 9736, # 9737 springs, # 9784 accelerator to transmission control shaft rod, and # 9772 accelerator bell crank to carb rod. All have been bead blasted and professionally plated bright zinc. The springs were painted black

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake Goodwood FoS debut

The estate version of the Mercedes-Benz CLS – the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake – will debut at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake – well, a concept CLS SB – bowed in at the Beijing Motor Show in 2010 and although we’ve seen it running around the roads, it’s seemed no closer to production. But it looks like Mercedes has now had long enough to play with the oxymoron that is a coupe estate and the CLS Shooting Brake will get its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of June.

Volvo celebrates the seatbelt’s golden anniversary

It was patented by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959, but the Swedes magnanimously opened up the tech to other car makers as they saw the real-world safety benefit of seatbelts in all cars. The design was so effective that in Germany the patent registrars listed it in the top eight inventions which have made an impact from 1885 to 1985.
