This listing is for a used OEM 1959-1960 Chevrolet Impala Biscayne Belair Gasoline Gauge Assembly. In used but good driver quality condition. Has not been tested no harness and no sockets included. Has a crack on the lens almost all the way around as shown. Needle are faded. Donald Frey, a senior product planning manager at Ford Motor Co. in the 1960s who along with Hal Sperlich and Lee Iacocca developed the iconic Ford Mustang, died on March 5 in Evanston, Ill., from a stroke. He was 87 years old.

But New York turns out to have been vital in the history of car design, as I found researching an exhibition Cars, Culture and the City at the Museum of the City of New York as guest curator over the last few months, working with the museums curator architecture and design, Donald Albrecht. The show has just opened, on March 25.
