Performance & Operation The charger will deliver current to the 12V battery at 4W, which means in ideal conditions, the panel will generate 4W of power per hour. This is an optimum amount of power to prevent a large battery going flat - even in winter. The solar charger is water resistant but should not be left outdoors for long periods - always ensure your battery is kept dry and undercover. On some makes of car when the ignition key is removed it isolates the battery - in this case you will have to attach the crocodile clips directly to the battery itself. We recommend using with a battery size of 30Ah or greater. If using with a lower capacity battery then a 4A charge controller will be required. NOTE: Most car batteries are 70Ah and above. Yearly driving costs rise 3.4 percent
