Seat confirms new SUV model: is Skoda next?
Wed, 26 Mar 2014By Ollie Kew and Damion Smy Motor Industry 26 March 2014 13:00 Seat has officially announced today that it is developing an all-new compact SUV model to join the Spanish outfit’s range in 2016. Seat says that the new SUV is already two years into development at the company’s Martorell technical facility in Spain. The as yet unnamed car is likely to share engines and platform with other ‘compact SUVs’ made by parent company, Volkswagen Group, such as the next-gen VW Tiguan and Audi Q3, which will use the MQB modular architecture.
Mercedes SLC (a ‘Baby’ SLS) confirmed. Again
Thu, 26 Apr 2012Mercedes SLC confirmed once more Mercedes big-wigs have been discussing future plans for AMG and have confirmed production of the Mercedes SLC – a baby SLS. It’s always nice to speculate on new cars to come from interesting car makers, and in the case of Mercedes we’ve been actively playing the baby SLS game – a Mercedes SLC – since 2009. What we need to remember is that the SLS – and any SLC to come – is not really a Mercedes, it’s an AMG.
Honda S660 Concept sports car for Tokyo Motor Show 2013
Mon, 28 Oct 2013Honda has announced its line-up for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show – and right at the top of the billing is this tiny but mighty S660 Concept roadster. As the name suggests, the S660 is only billed as a concept. But looking distinctly like an evolution of the 2011 Honda EV-STER show car [note this is a 2011 concept despite the title of a later link…], could it be that the Japanese manufacturer is finally about to build a new sporting model?
