You are looking at the power steering pump & brackets
from a 66 Ford Galaxie with 352. The pump is tagged HBA-AJ1. While the brackets
are big block 352, 390, 428 only, the pump is correct for 65 to 66 full size Non-
A/C, Ford or Mercury, T-Bird and pickup truck with small (289, 302) or big
block FE. I am offering it as a core for rebuild since the car was parked in 1999
however it spins free and the fluid was clean. No dents, pitting or leaks. Good
overall condition with brackets.

We had a stab at guessing what the Alfa Romeo 4C would be like once we knew it was likely that Alfa were taking the 4C – a baby Alfa 8C – to Geneva. But we didn’t have much to go on. If we’d guessed that the Alfa 4C would be, in almost every sense that matters, a scaled-down 8C we wouldn’t have been far wrong.

The Ford Fusion with its LIDAR ears allowing autonomous driving
Car makers are starting to take self-driving, autonomous cars very seriously, and we’ve recently seen Mercedes testing their autonomous driving S-Class in Berlin, Volvo planning a big trial of 100 self-driving cars in Gothenberg and Tesla planning systems that will do 90 per cent of your driving within 3 years. Now it’s Ford’s turn. Ford has equipped a Fusion Hybrid (that’s the North American version of the new Ford Mondeo we still haven’t got in the UK) with its autonomous vehicle technology to conduct research in partnership with the University of Michigan and State Farm (a big group of insurance companies in the US). The test Fusion gets a system called LIDAR (light detection and range – the funny looking ears on the top of the Fusion in the picture above) which can scan the road ahead up to 2.5 million times a second and create a 3D map of the surroundings.

Fiat has issued this Youtube video of its new 500X crossover, which is destined to launch the Italian brand into the compact SUV market dominated by the Nissan Juke. Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015. See the Fiat 500X in full at the 2014 Paris motor show on 2 October – we’ll have the first official photographs and news the moment the covers come off.
