This original Ford console appears to have been carefully removed from either a coupe or fastback without air conditioning. All wiring is complete and original and includes the harness that goes up the firewall to plug into the underdash harness. The shifter light is also included. All hardware is original as are the springs for the compartment door. All six of the mounting holes to the floor pan are solid with no cracks. There is a slight color change due to aging of the console and also some tape residue across the top of the light socket. The right front corner of the base of the console has a piece missing as shown in the photos. If you look carefully from the bottom side of the ash tray, there is a very small piece of plastic missing next to the ash tray. This is only visible from the bottom side. There are no other cracks or damage to the console. The chrome plates are nice but have a very few minor pits. Probably the only way to get nicer plates is the buy new ones. The chrome around the rear light shows aging wear. The lens appears new however it is missing the two side screws. This is a really nice console. If the color is not correct, this is a great candidate for a color change or back to its original blue. It has been thoroughly cleaned.

Honda CR-Z Mugen concept (2011): first photos

Wed, 18 May 2011

Honda has teamed up with Mugen again for a new hotrod special - but this one's a hybrid. The new Honda CR-Z Mugen is a slightly more ecologically sound proposition than the banzai 2009 Civic Type R Mugen, and brings the race car treatment to Honda's hybrid coupe. However, at this stage it's a one-off prototype, with no firm commitment to build even a limited run.

Renault Samsung SM7 concept

Making its debut at the Seoul Motor Show was the Renault Samsung SM7 concept. Despite carrying the concept tagline, the car is a thinly veiled production model of the forthcoming Samsung SM7 in Asia, and possibly the next generation Renault Laguna or Safrane in Europe. The D-segment sedan is based on a stretched platform that underpins the current SM5, and will go head to head with both the Hyundai Grandeur and Kia K7.
