1966 OLDS 442 REAL 442 LEFT FRONT FENDER. THIS IS NOT A CUTLASS OR F-85 FENDER SOMEONE HAS MODIFIED TO FIT THE MOLDING VENT IN. THIS IS THE REAL THING. IT HAS BEEN DIPPED AND THEN CLEANED AND SEALED TO PROTECT IT. WHAT YOU SEE IS A TOTALLY STRIPPED FENDER THAT HAS HAD NO BODY WORK DONE. IT MIGHT HAVE A FEW MINOR DINGS AND THERE IS ABOUT 6 PIN HOLES AT THE BOTTOM. BUT, YOU CAN LOOK AT THIS AND KNOW YOU ARE NOT GETTING A FENDER THAT HAS BONDO OR OTHER FILLER IN IT. IT WAS TOTALLY RAW PRIOR TO THE SEALER BEING APPLIED. THESE ARE VERY HARD TO FIND IN THIS SHAPE. A REAL DEAL 66 442 FENDER!

YOU GET THE FENDER ONLY NO MOLDINGS OR TRIM IS INCLUDED

SOLD AS IS AND SHIPPING WILL BE EXPENSIVE. I WILL PUT THE SHIPPING AT $150. THAT IS FROM PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. THAT IS FOR THE LOWER 48 CONTINENTAL USA ONLY. NO OVERSEAS, APO OR FPO OR ANY OTHER FORIEGN SHIPPING OF THIS FENDER. IF THE COST OF SHIPPING IS HIGHER DUE TO WHERE YOU ARE LOCATED THAT WILL BE DUE PRIOR TO IT BEING SHIPPED.

THAT MEANS IT COULD COST MORE TO SHIP. IT IS UP TO WHERE YOU ARE. I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO SHIP TO SOME CITIES THAT IS CHEAPER AND THE MORE WE CAN PUT ON A PALLET THE MORE CAN BE SAVED.

EBAY HAS STARTED CHARGING A FINAL VALUE FEE ON SHIPPING CHARGES. THIS IS BECAUSE OF THOSE WHO WOULD LIST SOMETHING FOR A VERY LOW PRICE LIKE A DOLLAR OR SOMETHING SIMILAR AND THEN MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SHIPPING COSTS. THIS WAS AND IS DISHONEST AND IS NOT HOW PEOPLE SHOULD DO BUSINESS. DUE TO THIS INCREASE I MUST RAISE MY SHIPPING RATES TO COVER THAT COST. SO WHEN POSTING FEEDBACK REMEMBER THAT THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING INCLUDES A COMMISSION TO EBAY.

I ALSO HAVE THE OTHER SIDE FENDER IN THE SAME CONDITION. NO COMBINED SHIPPING ON THESE. I AM PARTING OUT 2 REAL 66 OLDS 442 CARS AND HAVE A 66 442 4 SPEED PROJECT CAR FOR SALE. EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION

PAYMENT IS DUE BY PAYPAL WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE AUCTIONS END.

THIS IS SOLD AS IS

The no-show cars: a reader rant on mad concepts

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

Instigated by Harley Earl at General Motors in the late 30s with the quaintly named Buick Y-Job, show cars, or concept cars, were presented to an excited public eager for new things. As the world recovered from a depression and then a war, these vehicles pointed to a better future that many people believed in, including the people who produced them. And, although many of the concept cars of the 50s, with their Jetsons plexiglass roofs and notional nuclear powered engines seem ludicrous now, in their time they weren’t that cynical.

UK car production slumps, state help sought

Fri, 21 Nov 2008

By Digby Fullam Motor Industry 21 November 2008 14:30 The full effect of the downturn in the global economy is being felt by the UK motor industry, new figures out today reveal. Car production at British factories fell by 29.5% from October 2007's figure.  That makes it the worst October production figures since 1991 which, if you’ll cast your mind back, was the last recession. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders blamed the slump on 'a rapid reduction in demand for motor vehicles.' It’s not just us Brits that aren’t buying cars, either.

2013 Hyundai i30 3-door arrives on video

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

The next variant on the Hyundai i30 – the 3-door i30 – has arrived on video ahead of arriving in Hyundai’s Uk showrooms. Not only are there endless press releases for the news the car makers want you to know about, but there’s an even more endless stream of feeds coming in to make sure we miss nothing. Throw in all the car makers’ web sites, their press sites, their Facebook pages, their Twitter feeds and their YouTube channels – never mind keeping up with those who might just know something the rest of the world doesn’t yet know – and it’s a full-time job for a team of people before a story even gets written.
