Factory original Oldsmobile 4-speed shift knob from a 68 442 with factory Hurst shifter & 4-speed console (no shift pattern engraving), part #395796. It is fine thread, so only fits these early shifters, not a new/newer Hurst stick with coarse threads. Please check your shifter to be sure before purchasing. It still has the rubber gasket in the thread bore and the threads are in good condition. These are hard to find as originals. I will ship free via US Postal within the 48 states. The college for Creative Studies (CCS) has been teaming up with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) since 1989, bringing together imaginative automotive design and steel, the material of choice in the industry. As did last year's program, this summer also saw three engineering students from the University of Michigan (UM) join three CCS transportation design students to develop a concept car. Revolving around an 'Inside Out' theme, students conceptualized, rendered and created a concept vehicle based on a steel exoskeleton design.

In a dramatic U-turn, Detroit said 'an improving business environment for GM over the past few months' had made it reappraise its spin-off plans.The 11th hour switch means that GM will still retain full ownership of Opel and Vauxhall, which will now 'be restructured in earnest'. Canadian parts giant Magna had won the race to buy a controlling stake in GM Europe, as a newly relaunched Detroit sought to shore up its finances.
